Haiti
The Portsmouth Rotary Club has 20 members and was founded in 1962. In the past we have shipped medical supplies to a hospital in Guatemala. As with any Rotary Club we are dedicated to raising funds to support local community service projects as well as international causes. Our president is Steve Trezvant.
In this shipment we were able to sent to Haiti 9 wheelchairs, 18 canes, 37 walkers and 29 commodes and benches, courtesy of the Portsmouth Multi Purpose Senior Center. In addition, 13 large boxes of medical supplies and medicines were also collected. The Portsmouth Rotary Club provided funds for school supplies and toys and a private donor provided a donation of toys.
The Portsmouth Rotary Club appreciates your efforts and the services provided by Arpin to deliver this shipment to Haiti. Mark and Chris, from Arpin, were great and did most of the loading work. We know how difficult it is to find a way to ship supplies.
